Acne after waxing |
Breakouts of acne after waxing or shaving are commonly observed. Women after undergoing bikini, chest, leg, arms and underarms waxing experience the emergence of tiny red colored bumps. These red colored lesions are forms of acne which occur due to the inflammation of hair follicles after waxing. The ingrown hair also tends to develop after the removal of hair on the outer layer of the skin. Therefore, experts recommend the exfoliation of skin in between waxes. This helps in the prevention of breakouts and the severity of acne at the time waxing. It is ideal to apply herbal oils like tea tree oil and aloe vera oil after waxing. It is strongly discouraged to use agents that have chemicals for fragrance. Next, it is good to again exfoliate the skin at least three days after the waxing. Again, it is good to exfoliate at least twice a week prior to the waxing so as to avoid the occurrence of acne at all. Then once can also apply ice on the waxed area so as to reduce the severity of inflammation. The waxed should be immediately washed with an effective astringent to prevent sorts of skin disorders like acne, rashes and more. |
