Foods That Causes Acne

Acne is a skin infection that affects people of all ages and it affects mostly the face though not restricted. This disease can affect people regardless of their hygiene levels because it can also be inherited. To avoid the chances of contracting this disease, it is good to maintain high standards of cleanliness as well as eating foods that protects the skin from diseases.

There are foods that are highly acidic and are responsible for the contraction of the acne. They react with the body tissues by altering and unbalancing the PH levels of the body. Some of these foods that should be avoided include vegetables like the lentils and corn. Dairy products like butter, cheese, and ice creams contain fats that cause acne. Avoid fruits like plums, prunes as well as grains.

Animal proteins like pork, beef, fish, sausage and others contribute to acne. Avoid alcohol like spirits, wine and beer and other drinks such as coffee. Fats and oils should be avoided like the sunflower oils, sesame oils, hemp seed oils and others increase the chances of acne contractions. Other food to avoid includes all which contain fats like the cashew nuts, peanut butter and walnuts. Beans and legumes like green peas, red beans and kidney beans should be avoided
