Acne and nutritional deficiencies |
Acne is a mounting concern among both adolescents and adults. In a competitive environment, pimples and other forms of acne are major cause for embarrassment and self-consciousness. One of the major causes for the outbreak of acne is the lack of essential nutrients. Yes, it has been well proven by several studies and researches on this skin deep disorder that the deficiency of significant vitamins, especially Vitamins A, B, C, E and Zinc and Chromium trigger the bouts of acne. This can be well understood from the fact that skin is the biggest organ on the human’s body. The outer layer may though comprise of dead skin cells, the deeper layers of the skin are made of growing and living tissues that require nutrients for its replenishment. Just like in any other organ, lack of important nutrients in the skin can hamper its normal growth and lead to disorders. One of the most distressing disorders observed on the skin is acne. Therefore, it is extremely essential to keep the skin well hydrated and nurtured. However, the sole dosage of essential vitamins would not act as a savior and eliminate the acne at one go. One needs to follow a basic skin cleanliness regime to avoid the clogging of oil and bacteria in the skin pores.
