The main cause of baby acne is the mother’s hormones. For a short period of time, before giving birth, the mother’s hormones pass into the fetus through placenta. These hormones are allowed to pass as it required for any eleventh-hour physical growth in the baby’s body. These hormones tend to induce sebaceous glands to produce oil in the baby’s skin.
