The drug Brevoxyl Gel is bound to lead certain unwanted reactions in the body as its side effects. Some of less serious side effects of the drug are mild burning sensation on the areas treated, mild to moderate itching, dryness on the skin, peeling or flaking of the skin and emergence of unusual red colored rashes.
These minor reactions are short-lived and do not call for medical intervention. However, in case, they are persistent, it is important to seek the medical intervention immediately. The drug is also known to trigger certain adverse reactions on the body. These reactions may be rare yet possible side effects of the drug. Examples of such reactions include abruption of allergic reaction, in particular, swelling on the lips, tongue, throat, eyes, nose, difficulties in breathing, hives, wheezing and more.
These allergic reactions must be immediately met with the right medicinal treatment for their relief. In extremely uncommon cases, people may also report of unusual tightness in the chest. Such adverse reactions may be particularly observed among those allergic to either of the ingredients of the drug. Expecting women or those planning pregnancy and breast feeding mothers are also liable to experience harsh side effects of the drug.
