The main purpose of birth control pill is to prevent the women from conceiving by obstructing the ovulation process which is achieved by preventing the sperms of the male from reaching the ovary. Along with this use there are several other uses of birth control pill such as it can be used for treating acne. In some cases it is found that the acne which was not treated by drugs could be treated with the help of birth control pills. It might seem to be surprising as how birth control pills can help in acne treatment but there are certain valid reasons behind it. The main reason which is giving rise to acne is the constant fluctuations in the hormones which give rise to condition known as hormonal imbalance. With the intake of birth control pills, there is stability achieved in the hormonal flow in the body. Due to this the rate of hormonal fluctuation is reduced resulting in the lessening of the acne.
